This year, the World Cup leg in Namur will also have a U17 category added for the first time to the programme. Since only the men’s and women’s races were granted World Cup status, the organisers decided to also give local U17 and juniors the chance to race on the famous course of the citadel. U17 will ride a race on the national calendar, while juniors will ride a race on the UCI calendar, but unlike previous years, no longer via a national selection.
The course for U17 will be a shortened version (without cobblestones and off camber section), juniors will ride the entire course as used by the elites.
